What we do with your data (LIA_210510)

General
This site is built in WordPress and administered by The Reader. Please note that this platform uses Zoom to conduct video meetings. You don’t need a Zoom account to take part in any session, but by using this site some usage data will be collected by Zoom. For details of their privacy notice, click here. Your login account is built for your use only. If you need to update your contact details for your login please email support@thereader.org.uk. We will keep your login details (including your name, email address and postcode, where supplied) for two years following your last Reading Room interaction with us.

Group Participants
When you create an account with us we’ll use your contact details to email you a login link. The person leading your group will be able to see your first name only and has the ability to send an email notification to you if your session is cancelled or rescheduled, but they are not able to see your email address. We will use your postcode data to understand where our users come from and who we are reaching, but would only ever report this in aggregated form. Where a new in-person group starts in your local area, we will email you to let you know. We won’t share your contact data with other organisations or use it for purposes other than those specified.

Course Participants
Your account will be created for you using the information we hold about you on our contacts database (name and email address). Your course leader and other relevant staff will be able to see your progress through the course. Any uploads you submit will be emailed as an attachment to your course leader, where they will be stored on The Reader’s Office 365 system. Any feedback you submit will be stored in WordPress and shared with your course leader – your feedback will be identifiable to you.

Reader Leaders
Your account will be created for you using the information we hold about you on our contacts database (name and email address). People searching for online groups will be able to see your first name only and any emails you send to group participants will come from a shared Reader mailbox. Participants won’t have access to any of your personal data.

If you have any queries please contact The Reader’s Data Compliance Manager using the contact details at the bottom of this page. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with our response.

The data we collect is stored securely in line with GDPR and The Reader’s Data Protection Policy, which is available on request. All queries should be directed to: The Data Compliance Manager, The Reader, Mansion House, Calderstones Park, Liverpool, L18 3JB Tel: 0151 729 2200 Email: data@thereader.org.uk
